Terms of Service

Important: Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking with Plotare Norway Travel. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services provided by Plotare Norway Travel AS ("Plotare", "we", "us", or "our"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Services Description

Plotare provides premium travel agency services in Norway including but not limited to:

  • Tour packages and itinerary planning in Norway
  • Accommodation reservations and hotel bookings
  • Transportation arrangements within Norway
  • Guided tours and activity bookings
  • Northern lights and fjord experiences
  • Travel consultation and concierge services

3. Booking and Payment Terms

3.1 Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit secures your reservation and covers initial administrative costs.

3.2 Final Payment: Full payment must be received at least 45 days prior to travel commencement for standard tours. For luxury or custom tours, 60 days notice may be required.

3.3 Currency: All prices are quoted in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) unless otherwise specified. We accept Visa, MasterCard, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Note: Some activities and accommodations in Norway have stricter cancellation policies, especially during peak seasons (Northern Lights season: October-March, Summer season: June-August). These will be clearly communicated at time of booking.

5. Travel Documents and Insurance

5.1 Passport and Visa Requirements: It is your responsibility to ensure you possess valid travel documents. Norway is part of the Schengen Area. Non-EU citizens may require visas.

5.2 Travel Insurance: We strongly require comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal liability with minimum coverage of €30,000 for medical expenses.

6. Weather and Seasonal Considerations

Norway's weather can be unpredictable, especially in mountain and coastal regions. We reserve the right to modify itineraries for safety reasons due to weather conditions. Northern lights viewing is subject to solar activity and weather conditions - we cannot guarantee visibility.

7. Health and Fitness Requirements

Some tours involve hiking, skiing, or other physical activities. You are responsible for assessing your fitness level and choosing appropriate tours. Inform us of any medical conditions or mobility restrictions when booking.

8. Limitation of Liability

Plotare acts as an intermediary between you and service providers. Our liability is limited to the cost of the tour. We are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages caused by third-party providers, weather conditions, or force majeure events.

9. Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

We follow Norway's "Leave No Trace" principles. You agree to respect nature, stay on marked trails, not disturb wildlife, and follow all environmental guidelines provided by our guides.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be settled by the courts of Oslo, Norway. We encourage direct communication to resolve issues before pursuing legal action.
